Here, researchers investigate the impact of technogenic pollution, particularly focusing on how heavy metals affect living organisms, using bees as test subjects.
The university has also established a «Scientific Center for the Study of Rural Areas». Vernadsky University frequently hosts events of national significance and collaborates extensively with research institutes and the business community. A recent example is the forum on rural development held in Moscow, where a competition for youth scientific and innovative projects was launched.
Additionally, a scientific and educational consortium called «Sustainable Development of Rural Areas» has been formed, involving leading universities and research institutes across the country.
